Hide and "Peek"

I love playing hide & seek with a 4-year-old. You can cover your eyes (nap even!) for 10 seconds and a "ready or not, here I come" is instantly met with giggles from behind the overstuffed chair. And by the way, it is always the overstuffed chair. Seven rounds in a row, and most likely you will always find him in the same spot. So, you make a big production of looking everywhere, shouting out the places you are checking (to give him some ideas for next time), all the while baby sister is trying desperately to draw you to the overstuffed chair. Then, to your total amazement, you find him......behind the overstuffed chair!

It's been in the 50s here the last few days. (Don't be jealous, we had our snow & ice too) I decided to take the kids to the zoo for a mid-winter break. We watched the prairie dogs for probably 15 minutes (which, by the way, is much longer than the usual attention span of either of my kids). M was enthralled watching the prairie dogs dodge into their burrows and then stick their head back up. She looked at me and said "prairie dog, hide and peek!"
